Petrol and diesel price rise again on eighth consecutive day

Petroleum companies in the country are raising petrol-diesel prices as crude oil cost rise globally, which as per data, have reached an all-time high.

Petrol and diesel prices in the country rose for the eighth day in a row. On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, fuel companies hiked petrol prices by 30 paise and diesel by 35 paise and as a result, petrol in Mumbai is priced at INR 95.75 and diesel at INR 86.72.

As per reports, the prices have been hiked by INR 2 for eight consecutive days. 

In Parbhani, the price of power petrol has gone up to INR 100, whereas, in Delhi, petrol is priced at INR 89.29 and diesel at INR 79.70. Petrol in Chennai is priced at INR 91.45 and diesel at INR 84.77. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at INR 90.54. Diesel is priced at INR 83.29; and in Bangalore, the same is at INR 91.28 and INR 84.49 respectively.

Petroleum companies in the country are raising petrol-diesel prices as crude oil prices rise globally, which as per data, have reached an all-time high. Brent crude rose to $63.30 by 0.87 on Tuesday, whereas, on the Singapore Crude Oil Exchange, crude rose by $0.69 to 60.16.
