The first 'PM-Mitra Park' textile industry park in the state will be set up in Amravati and a memorandum of understanding was signed between the central government and the state government in this regard on Sunday. Currently, four companies have also signed MoUs worth INR 1,320 crores with the state government regarding this textile park.


Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said after the MoU regarding the 'PM Mitra Park' centre, a huge textile centre is starting in Amravati. Many projects will come up in this place. Through this, the youth of the state will get jobs, employment will be created. The state will prosper financially. Shinde also assured that the government is ready to give all possible help to the industries coming to the state.


The Prime Minister Narendra Modi government has approved the establishment of a textile centre in Amravati and the agreement has also been signed. When the textile policy was implemented in the state, it was expected that such centres would be established in the cotton producing districts. Accordingly, after we came to power, we took steps to start an integrated textile centre at Amravati. The land was acquired in record time. Also, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed the hope that this centre will be named in record time.

Union Minister of Textiles Piyush Goyal, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Textiles Minister Chandrakant Patil, Union Minister of State Darshana Zardosh were present on this occasion. Textile industry park 'PM Mitra Park' will be set up on 1020 acres of land at Nandgaon Peth in Amravati district.

In his speech on this occasion, the Chief Minister Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the target of a INR five lakh crore dollar economy. We are trying to add INR one lakh crore dollars to it as Maharashtra's share. Chief Minister Shinde assured that the industries coming to the state will be given all possible help and steps will be laid by the government for the industries.



INR 1,320 crore MoU

InR 1,320 crore were signed with four industries for development of 'PM Mitra Park' textile park. Sanathan Polycot (INR 1000 crore), Polyman India (INR 20 crore), Pratap Industries (INR 200 crore), and Siddhivinayak Cotspin (INR 100 crore) are the nature of these contracts.

The central government had announced the 'PM-Mitra Park' on January, 15 2022. Many states had submitted their proposals for setting up these centres in collaboration with the Centre. In March 2023, the central government approved the establishment of seven centres. The Center had approved a Textile Industry Center in Amravati district for Maharashtra.

Such will be the textile park

Textile industry park 'PM Mitra Park' will be set up on 1020 acres of land at Nandgaon Peth in Amravati district. In it, important infrastructure facilities like Incubation Centre, Plug and Play, Electricity, Roads, Water Supply, Sewage Management, CETP will be expanded. About three lakh people will get direct and indirect employment through this park.
