Tata stocks take a beating after Mistry exit

Mumbai - Share prices of the Tata group of companies fell at the bourses this morning. The development comes on the heels of the exit of chairman Cyrus Mistry, who was shown the door abruptly yesterday. Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata has taken over as chairman of Tata Sons temporarily. A five member committee is now in place to select the new chairman . 48-year-old Mistry was appointed as chairman four years ago. Among the names that are being considered as a replacement for Mistry are Pepsico CEO Indira Nooyi, former CEO of Vodafone Arun Sareen and Noel Tata of Tata international.
