A major fire broke out at a mandap (tent) erected for a wedding ceremony on the terrace of a building in Goregaon (East) at Film City road on Thursday evening. The incident occurred near Satellite Garden Building behind Wagheshwari temple at around 3.45 pm. It took over two hours to extinguish the fire, no casualty was reported.

A fire broke out in the Acorina Casorina building, located in the high-rise neighbourhood of Godrej Hills area in Kalyan. As per reports, the fire was confined to the fourth of the building which is considered to be in the upscale settlement of locality. Information received from the sources states that the horrific incident that took place in a matter of minutes, whereby the entire house caught fire due to a technical failure in the AC. This was installed in the bedroom of this house and caught fire due to technical malfunction, and the blaze escalated through the flat. However, the firefighter arrived at the spot on time and doused the fire.

The fire broke out at the City Centre Mall in Mumbai's Nagpada area on Thursday, October 23 at around 9 pm. About 56 hours later, on October 27, the fire brigade was able to extinguish the blaze. A mobile battery in a shop on the second floor of the mall had caught fire which eventually led to the entire floor being consumed by flames, according to a preliminary investigation. The mall has a large number of mobile and other electronics stores. About 14 fire engines and 17 jumbo tankers were engaged in the fire fighting operation.

A fire broke out at Mulund-based Apex Hospital, on Monday, October 12, 2020. Officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) control room confirmed the incident and stated that the fire broke outside the hospital in the shed when the generator caught fire due to short circuit. Officials from the concerned departments reached the location and attended the call. No injuries were reported.

A massive fire out at the Bahubali building on Kawasji Patel Road in Fort around 7.15 pm on August 26, 2020. As soon as the news of the fire was confirmed, five fire tenders rushed to the spot. One person was injured in this fire incident. The person in question has sustained 35 per cent burns and his condition was critical. It was initially tagged as a ‘level-2’ fire but later escalated to ‘level-3’ at around 10.30 pm. By that time the fire had spread to various parts of the building.

A level-II fire broke out during the early hours on May 5, 2020, at Napean Sea Road's Atlas building. The fire was conned to the B-wing on the 6th floor (Flat No. 61) and the information was given to the officials at 4:41 AM. The building is a G+10 structure and the fire broke out at a house with proper amenities which included electric wiring, electrical installation, wooden beds, bedding, wooden furniture, and clothing, among many other items. Three fire engines, jumbo tankers, one fire truck, one quick response vehicle, and other rescue teams reached the spot and the fire was doused at 8:40 AM, four hours after the incident.

In an incident on Thursday, March 19 morning, a level-0 fire broke out on the top floor of a residential building in Bandstand, Bandra West. Floor caught fire at 7:00 AM on the sixth floor of Bandra's Sea Springs Apartment, which is located diagonally opposite actor Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat. One woman was killed in this incident and some have faced injuries. The reason for the fire is unknown. Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was doused.

A major fire broke out on the eighth floor of GST Bhavan at Mazgaon in Byculla on Monday on February 17, 2020. The fire brigade with 16 fire engines and 9 water tankers reached at the spot. The intensity of the fire escalated quickly to Level 4 from Level 3 within 45 minutes since it broke out. According to the fire brigade standard operating procedure, a Level 4 fire is considered a massive one. No casualties were reported in the incident.

A cylinder gas exploded at Janupada Gawarechali in Sambhaji Nagar area in Mumbai's Kandivali area on Tuesday. Nine people were seriously injured in the accident. All of them were rushed to the Shatabdi Hospital located nearby. Among the other four victims who suffered minor injuries were discharged from the hospital. The fire had caused huge financial losses to the residents of Gaware Chali.

A fire broke out at a building in Malabar Hills, the name of the building was Last Palma Building which is at Club Café Red School, Little Gibbs road, Near Hanging Garden on February 5. The building has 14 floors and the fire broke out on the fifth floor at 7.56 pm. There were eight fire engines and jumbo tankers were present at the spot to help get the fire in control. The cause of the fire was a cylinder blast. No casualties were reported in this incident.

A massive fire broke out at Mehtab CHS building in Mumbai's Kurla West area at around 10 pm on Friday, January 25. At least 18 houses in the two-storey building gutted by fire. Following the fire, 3 to 4 cylinder blasts also occurred making the incident more severe. At least seven fire tenders and six jumbo tankers had reached the spot after the incident. It took around three hours to bring the fire under control.

Many godowns were gutted after a fire broke-out at Mumbra in Thane. The incident took place at Khan Compound near Shilphata at around 2.15 am. A fire brigade team has rushed to the spot along with two fire engines douse the fire. Six godowns were affected in the raging fire.
