Flooding in many parts of the city has caused traffic disruptions. Several airlines have issued travel advisories, asking passengers to plan their travel carefully.
According to Ixigo, as of 8:26 AM, around 21 flights were delayed, 2 flights were cancelled, and over 40 flights were running late.
Since Friday, Mumbai and nearby areas have been experiencing heavy rain and strong winds, which has led to waterlogging and affected daily life.
Low-lying areas of the city are badly flooded, bringing traffic to a standstill. Even local train services have been impacted, causing further inconvenience to commuters traveling within Mumbai and nearby districts, reported the Hindustan Times.
Airlines have urged passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. Due to waterlogging, traffic is slow, and travelers are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
