All of us have dreams and we work hard to achieve them but there are many who dream but fail to achieve them simply because their life is short and days are numbered.
One such boy dreams of becoming a police inspector but he is not sure if he will be able to ever fulfill his dream. Orissa resident Arpit Mandal is suffering from Cancer and is being treated at Tata Memorial Hospital.
However, Mulund police paid heed to his dream and they made him a police inspector of Mulund police station for one day. Mulund police station’s senior police inspector, Shripad Kale, handed over the charge of the police station to Mandal along with a police uniform. Mandal was also informed about the duty he has to perform that day.
Mumbai police posted the picture of Mandal sitting at senior police inspector's desk, smiling and contended, on their Twitter handle.
Along with posting the picture, they also praised Mandal’s willpower. Few of the NGOs approached Mulund police and informed them about Mandal’s dream and wish. Likewise, senior police inspector Kale immediately agreed to hand over the charge and made him senior police inspector for the day.Mulund Police Station was completely won over by the undaunted spirit of 7 year old Arpit Mandal, fighting cancer! If we could, we would fulfill all his wishes beyond just being a Police inspector for a day #ProtectingSmiles @MakeAWishIndia pic.twitter.com/jPOJosXFDU
