The Law Commission has recommended action against striking lawyers and allowing entry of foreign firms and lawyers in the proposed Advocates (Amendment) Bill. Advocates in regard with this protested outside Borivali Court on 21 April.

Rajesh More, President Borivali Advocate Bar Association stated that we are protesting against the proposed bill. The bill has been proposed hastily and did not wait for the final suggestions from the BCI. The proposed bill takes away the freedom of lawyers to act fearlessly in the court proceedings.
