The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has announced that Mahavitaran will carry out repair work on the Rohitra at the Barave water purification centre on Tuesday, October 1.
According to Executive Engineer Raju Rathod, water supply to Kalyan East and West will be halted from 10 am to 4 pm during the repairs.
The Barave plant, which treats water from the Ulhas River, is powered by Mahavitaran's station at Barave. Maintenance on generators No. 4 and No. 14 will be conducted, requiring a six-hour water supply shutdown. The KDMC has urged residents to store enough water in advance for the day.
