Actor and MP Sunny Deol's Juhu bungalow auction advertisement has been cancelled within 24 hours of publication. Bank of Baroda had on Sunday published an advertisement for the auction of the Sunny Villa bungalow to recover arrears of INR 56 crore. But the bank has clarified that the auction has been cancelled due to technical reasons by publishing an advertisement in the newspaper on Monday. At the same time, the bank has also said that the auction has been cancelled as Sunny Deol will pay the due amount.

Sunny Deol's Ghadar 2 is doing well. On Sunday, Bank of Baroda published an advertisement for the auction of Sunny Deol's Sunny Villa bungalow in Juhu. According to this advertisement, Sunny Deol's bungalow was going to be auctioned for non-repayment of the loan. He took a loan from Bank of Baroda, but did not repay the loan. So he had arrears of INR 56 crores. Sunny Villa was to be auctioned on September 25 for its recovery. A bid of INR 51.43 crore was made for this. However, a correction letter has been released by the bank on Monday. According to this correction, the auction has been cancelled due to technical reasons.

Will pay the arrears

Bank of Baroda has issued a press release amid questions raised over the sudden cancellation of the Sunny Villa auction in Juhu. According to it, while explaining that the auction has been cancelled due to technical reasons, it has been mentioned that the creditor i.e. Sunny Deol has approached for repayment of the loan and arrears. The auction is said to be cancelled as Sunny Deol will pay the due amount. At the same time, it is not clear how much of the outstanding amount is to be recovered. Some other technical reasons are also mentioned.

Criticism of Congress

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh has criticised this on social media. People learned yesterday afternoon (Sunday) that Bank of Baroda is going to e-auction MP Sunny Deol's house in Juhu. Within 24 hours this morning (Monday), the auction notice was withdrawn citing technical reasons. He has asked where this technical reason came from.

Participation in the work of Parliament is insignificant

New Delhi: Sunny Deol, who is a BJP MP from Punjab's Gurdaspur, has a minimal presence in the Lok Sabha. Participation in discussions is also negligible. He has raised only one question in the Lok Sabha. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Sunny Deol's candidature against then Congress leader Sunil Jakhar in Punjab was considered shocking. But he had won. Interestingly, Jakhar is now the state president of BJP.
