BMC employees to receive a raise in 'Dearness Allowance'

Soon, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) employees will receive a increased salary as the municipal corporation has decided to raise the Dearness Allowance (DA) given to its employees. The announcement for the same was made by the General Administration Department through a circular.

Accordingly, the decision by the civic body came in response to Central Government's DA raise to its employees by 6 per cent. The raise will be coming into effect from October but the employees will receive the DA of three months since July.

Earlier, the officials got 142 per cent DA but with the raise, now they will get 148 per cent DA from October. BMC has already notified its Human Resources Department to take the fact in consideration.

Alongside, the municipal corporation has made the decision to pay the salary as per the biometric attendance of its employees from November. Therefore, the employees will be paid according to their presence.
