Bid adieu to the days when you could visit a garden from just 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Taking into account the demands of Mumbaikars and activists, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday, September 7 regulated that 23 gardens in Mumbai would be open 24x7. Currently, S.K. Patil Graden's study corner in Charni Road is open for students around the clock.
The move will come into effect from Monday, September 9 and BMC Chief Praveen Pardeshi stated in an official statement that the maintenance and the security of the garden will be the responsibility of the department officials.
