Central Railway Introduces One Touch ATVM

Previously, to get a ticket, a person had to go through six steps which have now been reduced to two steps for a regular ticket and one step for platform tickets.

Automatic Ticket Vending Machine (ATVM) was introduced taking into consideration the fast life of Mumbaikars and to avoid queuing up for collecting tickets. However, as people started queuing for ATVM machines as well, the Central Railway (CR) will now introduce two-step ticket.

Previously, to get a ticket, a person had to go through six steps which have now been reduced to two steps for a regular ticket and one step for platform tickets. The two steps include selecting the desired station in the distance slab and one will just have to press the tab 'up to station' for single or return ticket. 

The one-step ATVM will be started from October 24 and 92 ATVM machines will be set up in 24 sub-urban stations.
