To increase infrastructural facilities in the schools of the state, to create a competitive environment for education in schools, to increase participation of students in the decision making process, to encourage schools to implement activities on health, environment, skill development, and financial literacy 5. 'Chief Minister Majhi Shaala, Sundar Shaala' campaign has been started in the state since December. School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar gave this information.


A press conference was organised at Jawahar Bal Bhawan. Principal Secretary of the department Ranjit Singh Dewal was present on this occasion. Along with this campaign, Adoption School Scheme, Maha Vachan Utsav-Reading Movement in Maharashtra, My School My Yard, Sanitation Monitor Phase – 2 will also be launched in a state level program on December 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.


Giving information, Minister Kesarkar said, Governor Ramesh Bais will preside over the inauguration ceremony. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will inaugurate the activities. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will be the chief guests. Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan, Agriculture Minister Dhanjay Munde, Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha will also be present as special guests.

The campaign will be implemented at Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation level and Class A and B schools in Municipal Corporation jurisdiction and schools in the rest of Maharashtra. In the municipal area, the winning school will be selected at the division and state level, while in the rest of Maharashtra, the winning school will be selected at the taluka, district, division and state level. 2 crore children will be reached through this campaign. Committees have been formed at all levels for the competition.


In the adopted school scheme, big industrial groups are going to update the infrastructure in schools through the use of CSR (social responsibility) funds. Schools will not be privatised in any way through this scheme.
