A 26-year-old construction worker was injured on Sunday night, April 2, while he was installing CCTV cameras in a structure under construction in Badlapur Township, Maharashtra.

The incident occurred when an iron rod fell on him, piercing his back and exiting from the front, causing injury. The man was an employee tasked with installing CCTVs in the structure.

The injured man was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery to remove the iron rod from his back. Fortunately, the surgeons were able to successfully remove the rod, and he is now recovering from his injuries. The incident has left authorities concerned about the lack of safety measures in the construction industry and they urge companies and workers to take extra precautions when working in hazardous environments.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident.
