A 260 meter high audience gallery will be constructed near Mogharpada in Thane Municipal area. Convention center, shopping mall, office etc. will be developed in that area. MP Shrikant Shinde has suggested that such proposed projects which are necessary for the city should be planned economically.
A review of the current status of projects such as Spectator Gallery and Convention Center proposed in Thane Municipal Area, Town Park in Kolshet, Yashwant Rama Salvi Swimming Pool in Kalwa, New Theater proposed in Kharegaon etc. was reviewed on Friday. At Mogharpada, a 260 meter high audience gallery, convention center, hotel, golf course, mall, offices, art galleries are proposed at a cost of around INR 8000 crore.

Along with this, a town park with sports complex, aquarium, science centre, planetarium, commercial use space is proposed at Kolshet on 22 acres of land. For this, an expenditure of INR 600 crore is expected. Also, Yashwant Rama Salvi swimming pool in Kalwa should be completely demolished and constructed anew. In it, ponds, auditoriums, other sports facilities etc. should be designed. A detailed plan should be presented. MP Shrikant Shinde also explained that better facilities should be created for the citizens of Kalwa area.
Along with this, instructions were given in the meeting to design a sports complex along with other facilities on the reservation site of the theater in Kharegaon. MLA Jitendra Awhad said that as there is a need for a theater in this area, the theater and other facilities will be useful to the people. Also, MP Naresh Mhaske suggested that building a small theater with a capacity of 300-350 spectators would get more response than building a big theater.
