Haji Ali and Mahim Dargah are the most-visited dargahs in the city. They have an average footfall of 10,000 and 5,000 per day respectively. However, amid the Coronavirus pandemic, Mahim and Haji Ali Dargah Trustee Suhail Khandwani has asked the devotees to avoid visiting the dargah Further, the Dargah authorities are also taking up several precautionary measures inside the premises.

Talking about the same, committee member Mohammad Ibrahim Khan said, "The management is taking all efforts to make people aware about the do's and don'ts. The khadim (the person who offers flowers), staff and volunteers have been instructed to use masks and gloves at all times. There has been an arrangement made to ensure that devotees who come get to wash their hands with liquid soap before entering the Dargah. In addition to this, people are let in only after checking their body temperature.  The tomb has been barricaded and devotees have been requested to offer the flowers, perfumes, chaddar and sweets to the khadims. The peripheral and tomb are being sanitised on an hourly basis. Earlier they were cleaned twice a day."

The trust-owned computer centre, primary school, fitness centre and library have been shut down. The staff, managers, committee members and volunteers are making every effort to ensure that the devotees are not crowding inside the dargah premises and don't end up spending a lot of time inside the premise. There are several banners and hoardings on every corner of the dargah, which assist in creating awareness about this deadly virus.
