Central Railway (CR) on Tuesday, August 13, announced that there would be 18 special train services available to accommodate travellers during the holiday weekend.
Moreover, bookings for these special trains, which will be available on special charges, have already open at all computerised reservation centres and on the website.
The Central Railway said that it will provide services to accommodate the heavy weekend passenger traffic to and from the stations listed below:
• LTT, Mumbai to Nagpur
• LTT, Mumbai to Madgaon
• CSMT, Mumbai to Kolhapur
• Pune to Nagpur
• Kalaburagi to Bengaluru
1) LTT Nagpur-Mumbai AC Superfast Deals for Two Services
02139 AC on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 00.25 hrs, the Superfast Special will leave LTT Mumbai and arrive in Nagpur at 15.30 hrs that same day.
02140 AC on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 13.30 hrs, the Superfast Special will leave Nagpur and arrive at LTT Mumbai at 04:10 hrs the following day.
Stops: Badnera, Dhamangaon, Wardha, Shegaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, and Thane.
Composition: 1 Pantry Car (locked), 2 Generator Cars, 3 AC-2 Tier, 15 AC-3 Tier, and 1 AC-1st Class.
2) LTT Specials for Mumbai-Madgaon (4 Services)
On Thursday, August 15, 2024, and Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 21.00 hours, the 01167 special will leave LTT Mumbai and arrive in Madgaon at 10:00 hours the following day. On Friday, August 16, 2024, at 12:00 and on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 12:00, the 01168 special will leave Madgaon and arrive at LTT Mumbai at 00:40 the following day.
Halts: Aravali Road (only for 01168), Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade (only for 01168), Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon (only for 01168), and Kankalvali are the only halts. Other halts include Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, and Veer (only for 01168).
Composition: 22 ICF coaches, 1 guard's brake van, 1 generator car, 8 sleeper classes, 6 AC-3 tiers, and 4 general second classes.
3) Specials for CSMT-Kolhapur (2 Services)
On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 00.20 hours, the 01417 special will leave CSMT Mumbai and arrive in Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus, Kolhapur, at 13.30 hours that same day.
On Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 22.00 hours, the 01418 special will depart from the Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus in Kolhapur and arrive at CSMT Mumbai at 13.30 hours the following day.
Halts: Kirloskarwadi, Sangli, Miraj, Satara, Karad, Lonavala, Pune, Jejhuri, Lonand, and Kalyan.
Composition: 2 Guard's Brake Van, 6 Sleeper Class, 8 General Second Class, and 2 AC-3 Tier.
4) AC Superfast Specials for Pune-Nagpur (4 Services)
02143 AC The Superfast Special is scheduled to leave Pune on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 16:10, and arrive in Nagpur on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 06:30. There are two services of this train.
On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, and Friday, August 16, 2024, at 19.40 hours, the 02144 Superfast special will leave Nagpur and arrive in Pune at 11.35 hours the following day. There are two services of this train.
Halts: Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, Wardha, Ahmadnagar, Belapur, Kopergaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Uruli, Daund Chord Line and Kopergaon
Composition: 2 Generator Cars, 3 AC Tier Cars.
5) Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Specials (6 Services)
On August 15, 2024, Thursday, August 17, 2024, Saturday, and August 18, 2024, Sunday, the 06534 special will leave Kalaburagi at 09.30 hrs. and arrive in Shri M Visvesaraya Terminal, Bengaluru, at 20.00 hrs. that same day. This train operates in three services.
On August 14, 2024, Wednesday, August 16, 2024, Friday, and August 17, 2024, Thursday, the 06533 special will leave Shri M Visvesaraya Terminal in Bengaluru at 21.15 hours and arrive in Kalaburagi at 07.45 hours the following day. This train operates in three services.
Halts: Manthralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Yelahanka, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, and Shahabad.
Composition: One AC-II Tier, one AC-III Tier, ten Sleeper Class, six General Second Class, and one Guard's Brake Van comprise the composition.
