Central Railway (CR) will operate traffic and power block on all 6 lines for launching of 2 girders between Nahur and Mulund by winch and pulley method.
At present between Nahur and Mulund current Road Over Bridge (RoB) flyover is insufficient for increasing road vehicle traffic. So it is planned to widen this current RoB by taking various blocks. Total 14 girders launching is planned in future, out of which 1st block of 2 girders launching is planned on 19/20 August night Saturday/Sunday night.
Date of Block: 19/20.08.2023 (Sat/Sun night)
Duration of Block: 01.20 am to 04.20 am (3 hours)
Traffic Block Section: 5th & 6th lines, Up and Dn Fast & Slow lines between Mulund and Vikhroli
Due to this the train running pattern will be as under:-
A. Suburban
Suburban services will remain cancelled during the block period.
• Last Local towards Kalyan before the block: S1 Karjat local leaving CSMT at 00.24 hrs.
• Last Local towards CSMT before the block from Kalyan will be as per schedule.
• First Local towards Kalyan after the block will be as per schedule.
• First Local towards CSMT after the block from Kalyan: A 2 CSMT local leaving Kalyan at 03.58 hrs.
B. Long Distance Trains
• Train No-11020 Bhubaneshwar-CSMT Mumbai Konark Express will be short terminated at Thane.
• Train No-12810 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Mail will be short terminated at Dadar.
• The following trains will arrive destination 40 to 60 minutes behind schedule.
• Train No-18030 Shalimar-LTT Express
• Train No-18519 Vishakhapatnam-LTT Express
• Train No-20104 Gorakhpur-LTT Express
• Train No-12702 Hyderabad-CSMT Superfast Express
Moreover, a similar special traffic and power blocks will be operated for launching of four Girders for 5 meter wide FOB (at CSMT End) of Thane station involving UP & DN harbour Line and 6th Line (Span-6) at km 32/21-22 using 140 T Railway Crane.
Thane station has at present 5 Foot over Bridges (FOB). For the construction of new 6th FOB (at CSMT end), above block is planned.
On last Saturday(12/13 August 2023 night) span no 7 new FOB block was completed at Thane platform no 9/10. Now on 19/20 August night span no 6 new FOB block is planned at Thane platform no 8/9.
Further, 5 more such spans for new FOB blocks will be done from Platform no 7 to Platform no 1 for construction of new FOB at Thane ( at its CSMT end).
The Blocks are to be operated as under:
Span 6 (UP/Down THB Line & 6th Line): Launching of FOB Girders (at CSMT End of) Thane PF 8 & 9

Due to this the train running pattern will be as under:
• Up and Down Trans-harbour Suburban train services will remain suspended during the block period.
• Last local before the block from Thane is Panvel local departing Thane at 23.14 hrs.
• Last local before the block for Thane from Vashi is Thane local departing Vashi at 22.45 hrs
