Girgaum - Once Ganpati Visarjan ends, people go back to their homes. The ganpati idols do not get submerged completely, few parts of the idol come offshore. The ganpati idols in the area of Girgaum probably stands 8ft high & more than that. Dabawallas have taken an initiative to clean this mess. 40-50 Dabewallas to be part of the initiative. The filth because of plaster of paris (pop) made idols makes the beach unclean. The cleaning drive will take place under guidance of Bhausaheb Karvande in collaboration with Mydidi.in app team.
