Bandra - The MMRDA had constructed dedicated lanes for BEST buses in BKC (Bandra - Kurla Complex) stretching over 7 kms. Now, however, the paver blocks on this stretch are in a damaged state, in most places over the 7 km long and 3.4km wide stretch spanning MTNL Junction - Kalanagar Junction and Western Express Highway - ONGC Building.The lane was started with much fanfare in April 2016 by the MMRDA incurring an expenditure of Rs 2 crore. The potholes on the road now however force BEST bus drivers to avoid the dedicated lane and take the regular lanes instead. So much for dedication!
