According to reports, a total draft of INR 124.12 crores was approved for the Mumbai City District Annual Plan for the year 2021-2022 in a meeting of the District Annual Planning Committee chaired by the Minister of Textiles, Fisheries and Port Development and Parents and Mumbai City District Palak Aslam Ramzan Ali Sheikh.

The meeting of the Mumbai City District Annual Planning Committee was held at Sahyadri Guest House. Meanwhile, the draft was passed under the chairmanship of the foster minister Aslam Shaikh. Moreover, funds have been allocated for the year 2020-21 with the Guardian Minister directing to take appropriate action to invite proposals to utilize the funds effectively.

Meanwhile, School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray, MP Arvind Sawant, MLA Amin Patel, State Planning Board President Rajesh Kshirsagar were also present on the occasion with district Collector Rajiv Nivatkar presiding over the meeting.

On the other hand, with the spike in cases of coronavirus across Maharashtra, Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday, February 18 authorized fresh safety measures. Moreover, the civic body has also decided to register offenses against people who violate safety guidelines intensifying action against people flouting social distancing rules, without face masks in public, and will act against function halls, gymnasiums, and other establishments that do not follow safety norms. Furthermore, the BMC has decided to fine function halls, gymnasiums, and restaurants if the number of patrons/ attendees is found to be beyond the permissible limit, Suresh Kakani, additional municipal commissioner informed.
