The work of supplying domestic gas from Mahanagar Gas to various parts of Dombivli city has been going on since the last few years. In the first phase, domestic gas was supplied to MIDC areas. Now 198 houses in D Mart area on Manpada road in Bhopar area have been supplied with domestic gas from the metropolis.


The women's section expressed joy as domestic gas was supplied to 18 houses of Sarvodaya Anand Society complex in Bhopar on Wednesday morning. Kalyan MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde has been trying for several years to start domestic gas supply of Mahanagar Gas in various parts of Dombivli city.

Part of Manpada road comes under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department. Therefore, it was necessary for the construction department to excavate the road to lay the underground channels of Mahanagar Gas. There were difficulties in getting this approval from the construction department. MP Shinde contacted the superiors of the construction department and took steps to ensure that the work would be completed immediately. MP's office chief Prafulla Deshmukh said that after getting immediate permission from the construction department for road digging, the work of supplying gas through a channel in Bhopar area has been completed within the stipulated time.


Gas supply to Sarvodaya Anand Society in Bhopar was started by pressing the key of the gas supply channel on Wednesday morning. The women came out of the house and celebrated. Shiv Sena's sub district Chief Rajesh Kadam, Office Chief Prafull Deshmukh, Taluka Chief Mahesh Patil, Yuva Sena's Sagar Jedhe, Society President Suresh Chavan, Vikas Desale, Akash Desale were present on this occasion.
