According to reports, on Friday, July 29, evening at nearly 4 pm a fire was reported at Andheri West's Chitrakoot sudio near the Link Road. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Ten fire engines and two water tanks have rushed to the location. Fire fighting operations are underway.
The level 2 fire was seen near Star Bazar behind Andheri Sports Complex at the Chitrakoot Ground. The fire is claimed to have erupted at a shop of 1000 sq feet area.
No injuries have been reported yet. An official was quoted in narratives elaborating on how information was attained on how the fire erupted in a shop which was nearly 1000 sq ft in area. With ten fire engines were sent to the site that are attempting to douse the fire.
Further, owing to the fire, vehicular movement has been diverted from Veera Desai Road via Dattaji Salvi road to IOC, Chitrakot to IOC (direct). Fortyard to Chitrakoot north and south bound road is closed, informed the Mumbai Traffic Police.
