On Thursday, the United Kingdom proclaimed that Indians who are fully inoculated with either the Covishield or other UK-approved vaccine, won’t be required to quarantine on travelling to the UK from October 11, stated reports.

The British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis took to Twitter to make the announcement that quarantine isn’t needed for Indian travellers fully inoculated with either the Covishield or other UK-approved vaccines, October 11 onwards, highlighted accounts.

This announcement comes weeks into the UK imposing quarantine constraints on Indian travellers, thus, last Friday, India reciprocated to it by proclaiming that nationals from the UK coming to India from the UK will be required to undergo a compulsory quarantine for 10 days, October 4, Sunday midnight onwards, mentioned narratives.

Reacting to India’s resolution, the United Kingdom stated that it will continue engaging with India to enlarge the acknowledgement of the COVID-19 vaccine certificate. According to reports, in a statement, the British High Commission spokesperson elucidated that the UK is persisting to operate on enlarging the policy to nations and regions through the world in a stepped manner. Adding that they are continuing to involve with the Government of India on technical collaboration to enlarge UK acknowledgement of vaccine certificate to those inoculated by an appropriate public health body in the country.
