The Mumbai Division of Central Railway (CR) built a high-tech fitness centre, also known as Gym. General Manager of Central Railway, Naresh Lalwani on Tuesday, August 22, inaugurated the Hi-Tech fitness centre.

The gym is built especially for staff and officers of the Mumbai Division to boost their productivity and well-being. The fitness centre is fully furnished with the most up-to-date equipment to help railway employees enhance both their overall mental and physical wellness. Table tennis and carom are available as alternatives to regular gym activities at the fitness centre.

The Advantages Of The Gym For Rail Employees:

The gym is well equipped, has cutting-edge facilities, and will have experienced fitness trainers for training everyone working out at the gym. Railway employees will be able to exercise at the centre to increase their strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. The availability of the fitness centre is a step in the right direction because the rigorous and 24/7 operation of the railway demands staff to have excellent fitness levels.

Who Will Be Most Benefited From Gym?

The staff members and officials who travel for more than two hours on a daily basis, do not get time to work out. With this development, they will be the ones who will benefit the most as the gym is open near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Railway Station.

Earlier this week, the centre was officially inaugurated in the presence of the top Central Railway administration and Mumbai Division authorities. The initiative was created under Rajnish Goyal's direction, DRM Mumbai Division.

The Central Railway in March announced the opening of a beauty salon and spa on the Thane and Kalyan Railway Stations for the general public. The spa and beauty saloon is similar to the one being operated at CSMT Railway Station. “The salon and spa at CSMT is quite popular among passengers. It is also helping us generate funds under the non-fare revenue,” said a CR official.

In another initiative by the government, at Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Garden of Colaba, a garden gym became available being the first of its kind in the area. A garden gym opened its doors in June and caters to people with different abilities.
