Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board famous honey brand 'Madhuban' is now available in Sanjay Gandhi National Park. MP Gopal Shetty inaugurated the honey selling centre in the park. On this occasion, Board Chairman Ravindra Sathe, Sanjay Gandhi Park Director G Mallikarjun, Board Chief Executive Officer R Vimala, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Bipin Jagtap, Sanjay Sonawale, Renuka Kulkarni etc. were present.
Sanjay Gandhi National Park has a large number of flowers which can produce good quality honey. Therefore, beekeeping will be done in the national park with the help of Khadi and Village Industries Board and Forest Department. For this, the employees here will be given training in beekeeping by the Khadi and Village Industries Board. Along with this, the board will also purchase prepared honey from the park by providing bee hives.
Along with this, 'Madhuban' honey selling centre has also been started in the park so that the tourists coming here can taste the sweetness of honey.
