Mumbaikars will once again get a chance to visit different tourist places of Mumbai in a bus. Various tourism activities were launched on the 48th anniversary of the Tourism Development Corporation. Along with this, Mumbai Hop on hop off bus service was started in Mumbai on this occasion. In order to provide quality facilities to tourists in Mumbai, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has started Hop On-Hop Off bus facility on private partnership basis. This double decker bus was inaugurated by Tourism Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha.

To promote eco-friendly tourism, 'Responsible Tourism' initiative will be implemented through MTDC. In collaboration with MTDC and HR college, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)videos, photographs and diaries, Ajanta Caves, Youth Tourism Association were launched. Minister Mangal Pratap Lodha said that the activities of Youth Tourism Association will be implemented in the entire Maharashtra.

Minister Mangal Pratap Lodha said that Mumbai is the centre of attraction for Indian tourists and foreigners. In order to provide quality facilities to these tourists in Mumbai, MTDC has started the Hop On-Hop Off bus facility on a private partnership basis. In near future, 11 hop on-hop off buses will be launched across the state. 

The help of online service provider Book My Show will be taken. Minister Lodha said that the reservation fare of this hop-on-hop bus will be less. Meanwhile, minister Lodha travelled from Mantralaya to Marine Drive by hop-on-hop-off bus.
