On Sunday, November 7, passengers who came to the international airport during the wee hours of the morning were greeted with long queues at the immigration counter, highlighted reports.

Based on accounts, officials from the airport accorded the crowds to the festivity season with the wait time to go past immigration was nearly half and an hour. Travellers also took to social media to voice their discontent stating that they had to wait for a significant time.

The authorities then took to Twitter highlighting that the immigration counters were crowded on Sunday early morning owing to an increase in traffic of passengers after the festive season. This is believed to have caused temporary delays at the immigration counters.

According to narratives, the authorities added that the officers were continuously communicating with the concerned authorities to ensure the congestions was cleared promptly whilst adhering to the security protocols.

The airport authorities elaborated that senior citizens, mothers, infants, as well as, pregnant women were allowed to pass through the diplomatic counters.

Earlier, on October 8, many passengers missed their flights due to chaos at the airport. Back then too, the authorities had accorded the crowd to the festive season which had too irked the passengers back then.
