Mumbai - Mumbai is a city with very less open space because encroachers are lurking everywhere. Not even footpaths are left for walking, they too have been encroached illegally. BMC had enough of these encroachers and Chief Engineer, Sanjay Darade is all set to demolish them. He told,"Footpath is meant for walking and corporation will keep this in consideration while demolishing. During peak hour pedestrians face a lot of problem. People will heave a sigh of relief once this problem is rooted." Iron rods will be set up on either sides of the road, footpath is 1.80m wide and after weeding off the intruders it will increase up to 2.20m.
