Thousands of students had gathered at Gateway of India to protest against the violence on Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students. The protest had started at midnight on January 6. The protestors were detained to Azad Maidan after which they called off the protest. However, the voices against this doesn't seem to cease. Here's the entire list of protests that will be taking place today i.e. on January 8: 

1. 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm- Kotwal Maidan, Opposite Plaza Cinema near Dadar Station

2. 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm- Malad Station, behind Hanuman Mandir

3. 5:30 pm onwards at Islam Gymkhana near Marine Lines 

4. 6:00 pm onwards at Carter Road

Notably, Celebrities like Tapsee Pannu, Zoya Akhtar, Dia Mirza, Gauhar Khan, Anubhav Sinha, Vishal Bhardwaj, Anurag Kashyap, Rahul Bose and many others had gathered at Carter Road in Bandra to stage protest against violence in JNU on January 6.
