In yet another significant traffic development, the Rambagh bridge on the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) will be temporarily closed, necessitating the diversions for the vehicular movement.

The traffic restrictions are scheduled to be enforced till February 23, 2024, every night from 00:00 hrs to 06:00 am.

This move comes to facilitate the construction of a metro station as part of the Metro 6 project by Eagle Infra India LTD.

The order was issued by Dr. Raju Bhujbal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Eastern Suburbs, Traffic.

Details of road closures and alternate routes:

Route 1: The road from Ganesh Ghat to Rambagh Bridge descent on JVLR Road North Channel will be closed. Commuters are advised to use the alternate route from Ganesh Ghat via Rambagh Bridge South Channel. Traffic from Sadar Bridge on the south channel will be directed through the service road.

Route 2: The road from Powai Plaza to NTPC on JVLR Road South Channel will be closed. An alternative route will involve a reverse lane from Powai Plaza on JVLR Road North Channel, leading to NTPC Junction. JVLR Road will be rerouted through Dakshinvahini.
