Congress MLA Nitesh Rane has demanded a CBI inquiry into the Kamala Mills fire incident. Along with a demand, he addressed Vishal Karia and Bala Khopde as the mastermind of Kamala Mills fire. He demanded to investigate Vishal Kariya’s call records as well.
On Tuesday, Kamala Mills fire incident got a new twist. N M Joshi Marg police who is probing the incident took a bookie Vishal Karia in police custody for an inquiry. MLA Nitesh Rane said the same in a press conference.
Police arrested Vishal Karia 10 days after the incident. What will be the outcome of this investigation now? CBI should take charge and they should probe Karia’s call records, and check who he called on the day of the dreadful incident. Along with this, his Whatsapp should also be checked.”

Rane said that a few months ago, two bookies named Jojo and DK were arrested and when the police checked DK aka Deepak Kapoor’s CDR reports, they saw Vishal Karia's number. He also threatened of carrying out a protest in Maharashtra assembly if Karia was spared.
In connection to the BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta being pressurised by political leaders, Rane said that he has filed a PIL regarding the same. Rane added that Mehta should reveal the names in the court.
