A 56-year-old Khar businessman, facing numerous challenges in his life, jumped from the Bandra-Worli Sea Link on Monday morning, July 31. The man's body was later discovered near Dadar Chowpatty by Coast Guard helicopters. Navy divers assisted in the recovery process of the body.

He was the owner of a garment business in South Mumbai. He had met with a severe accident that occurred three months ago near Kala Nagar in Bandra (East). The accident left him with head injuries, causing memory loss and depression. He also battled with blood pressure and sugar problems.

The man's financial situation worsened significantly after the accident. The business, which had been his livelihood, was severely affected. Friends and family had noticed his distress. He had also told his family that he wanted to end his life rather than continue living with burdens.

His wife was concerned about his well-being. She advised him to seek counsel from his brother-in-law, Deepak Khubchandani, on Sunday night due to his negative talk.

At around 5:30 am, the businessman drove a Hyundai i20 to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and parked his brother-in-law's car, numbered MH-01-DX-0308. There, he jumped into the water. It was caught on CCTV by a security guard, who immediately informed the police.

A search operation was started to locate the man. Multiple agencies including Worli police, Indian Navy divers, Coast Guard helicopters, and the local fire department searched for the missing man. They ultimately recovered the deceased's body near Dadar Chowpatty.
