Two fire incidents were reported on Thursday in Mumbai - one in Powai and another in Andheri East. A fire broke out on the second floor of Trikutta Towers in Powai near Suncity complex which was doused by Mumbai Fire Brigade department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) at 11:19 AM. 

The Trikutta Towers is a high rise building which consists of 16 floors and a ground floor and is situated on Adi Shankaracharya Marg. The level of fire incident reported at 10:45 AM on Thursday was L1. No injuries or causalities have been reported in the incident. 

Another fire incident was reported at 12:19 PM on Thursday. The Mumbai Fire Brigade department of BMC reported the fire level at L1 and managed to douse the fire by 12:31 PM. 

The incident took place after a fire broke out in vehicles at Renault service centre on Parsi Panchayat Road in Andheri East. No injuries or causalities have been reported in the incident. 

Earlier, a fire which broke out at city centre mall in Mumbai Central was doused after 56 hours. This can be called as one of the longest firefighting operations ever carried out in Mumbai.

According to primary information, a mobile battery in a shop on the second floor of the mall had caught fire which eventually led to the entire floor being consumed by flames.
