Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has approved the purchase of 667 green-powered eco-friendly mobile shops and increase in salaries of daily wage workers of the corporation to make disabled persons self-reliant in the state.
The Annual General Meeting of the Board of Directors of Maharashtra State Disability Finance and Development Corporation was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at Sahyadri Guest House, in which various issues of the corporation were approved. Disabled Welfare Secretary Abhay Mahajan, Managing Director of Disabled Finance and Development Corporation Abhay Kargutkar and senior officials were present.
667 green energy powered eco-friendly mobile shops for the disabled will be purchased from a Faridabad company and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde directed them to distribute it to the disabled beneficiaries by January 2024. The concerned company should modify these vehicles according to the type of disability of the beneficiaries, the corporation should implement this and the Chief Minister also directed to speed up the process of beneficiary selection.
New portal for disability beneficiary selection process
Chief Minister Shinde also suggested that a web portal should be created for information on various schemes for the welfare of persons with disabilities, beneficiary selection process and it should be launched on December 3, World Day with Disabilities.
Increase in wages of daily, outsourced employees
In this meeting, it was decided to increase the salary of the employees working on a daily basis and through an external system in various offices of Disabled Finance and Development Corporation. With this decision, the remuneration of employees of Assistant, Clerk-Typist, Lower Grade Stenographer, Driver, Clerk-Typist/Recovery Inspector and Constable posts will increase from INR 2500 to INR 5000.
