Malad East to soon have a separate administrative department

A letter has been written by him Atul Bhatkhalkar, to the BMC Commissioner. Authorities at the civic body have taken a positive stance in the matter and the final decision for the same is duly awaited.

After a recently held meeting, officials at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are planning to form a separate administrative department for Malad East. 

Information regarding the same was shared by BJP MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar who also added that the Ward P-North comprising of Malad is a big ward as per geographical size, and hence there is a dire need for a separate administrative department in the locality. A letter has been written by him Atul Bhatkhalkar, to the BMC Commissioner, the response for which is duly awaited. 

Currently, it is said that the BMC Commissioner has acknowledged the letter and responded to Bhatkhalkar's letter. Authorities at the civic body have taken a positive stance in the matter, and the BMC is considering setting up a separate administrative department for Malad East. The final decision regarding the matter will be discussed and announced soon.

Mumbai's P-North ward has several areas like Malad, Malvani and Malad East. Moreover, the area is widely spread and keeping several factors and administrative issues in mind, MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar had demanded a separate administrative department from BMC for the area
