Mumbai's minimum temp drops to 19 degrees

In a tweet, IMD Regional head K S Hosalikar has predicted that in some parts of Maharashtra, the temperature might fall down below 10 degree Celsius.

Mumbaikars are experiencing chilled mornings in November. The minimum temperature in the city has started to dip and on Thursday, November 12, it touched 19 degree Celsius on 

The minimum temperature at the city's Santacruz observatory on Thursday dipped to 19.8 degree Celsius, while the Colaba observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 22 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature continued to remain high. According to Mumbai Indian Meteorological Department's (IMD) website, on November 12, Santacruz and Colaba recorded a high temperature of 33.5 and 32.8 degree Celsius respectively.

The cold has wreaked havoc in Pune and Nashik. The lowest temperature recorded in the state, on Thursday, was 9.8 degrees Celsius in Pune, whereas in Nashik it was 10.4 degree. The minimum temperature in Pune and Nashik has been consistently recorded around 10 degrees for the last 4 days.

In a tweet, IMD Regional head K S Hosalikar has predicted that in some parts of Maharashtra, the temperature might fall down below 10 degree Celsius. However, there will be a gradual rise in the temperature in the coming days. Some parts of the state has already witness an upward trend, while some records lowest minimum temperature:

Pune: 9.8

Baramati: 11.9

Aurangabad: 12.8

Nashik: 10.4

Dahanu: 18.8

Jalgaon: 10.7

Chandrapur: 11.2

Parbhani: 13

Yavatmal: 11.5

Nagpur: 18.3
