The event was organised by the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Talking at the event Nitin Gadkari said,

India will progress once the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is used extensively. Biofuel made out of rice straw, bagasse, sugar ethanol and the use of methane-based fuel will help control vehicular pollution. Recently, biofuel was used as aviation fuel and has been successfully tested in a Dehradun to Delhi flight. The Government of India has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KfW capital, ADB and the World Bank to draw credit lines to offer credit to MSMEs sector at a cheaper rate of about 6 per cent. The khadi gram industry which is the backbone of rural India had scaled its revenue from ₹1000 crores to ₹3200 crores since the last 5 years and has been given the target to reach  ₹10,000 this year. Another target of the government is to give impetus to the sale of products like honey, bamboo etc.  “Bharat Craft Portal” is being planned to market the quality products of rural artisans and rural SMEs which have the potential to generate ₹10 lakh crores of revenue.

He further said that there is a website named as Bank of Ideas and Innovation where people can suggest their business plans and government can help them to implement it in collaboration. The Government will soon launch an e-commerce website which would be a competitor for Amazon and Alibaba in India and will provide a platform for artisans to connect with buyers.
