Elections 2024: Mumbai's IT Department sets up 24x7 Control Room to Curb Misuse of Money

The Income Tax (IT) Department, Mumbai is committed to curb the misuse of money power during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, 2024.

With a view to ensure free and fair elections, an election expenditure monitoring mechanism consisting of a 24x7 control room has been set up by the Income-Tax Department, Mumbai. This will be in operation till the date of polling in Mumbai i.e. May 20, 2024. The public can provide information regarding the movement of cash or valuables intended to illegitimate use in elections to the control room through the following toll-free number, WhatsApp/text numbers and email:
