Central Railway has decided to replace two rakes of Train no 12111/12112 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Amravati- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Express with LHB coaches on permanent basis for better safety and passenger experience.

The train with revised composition of LHB coaches will now run ex CSMT with effect from June 15, 2022, and ex Amravati with effect from June 14, 2022.

Revised composition: One First AC cum AC-2 Tier, Two AC-2 Tier, Four AC-3 Tier, 8 Sleeper class, 3 General Second class, General Second Class cum Guard's Brake Van and One Generator Van.

Additionally, Railways have decided to replace the last rake of Train no 15645/15646 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Guwahati Express with LHB coaches on permanent basis for better safety and passenger experience.
 
The train with revised composition of LHB coaches will now run ex LTT with effect from 25.05.2022 and Ex Guwahati with effect from May 22, 2022.
 
Revised composition: One AC-2 Tier, Five AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper class , 4 General Second class including one Guard's Brake Van, one Pantry Car and one generator van.

In 2021 and 2019, the number of originating summer specials run were 435 and 540 respectively. In 2020, no summer specials were run due to pandemic.

In 2022, Central Railway is running 112 general second class coaches in 19 trains which are making 636 trips during summer.

Considering the huge demand for trains especially towards north and east, maximum number of general second class coaches are being attached in various summer special trains.
