The 124-year-old 'Ratan Kunj' bungalow in Andheri's famous Saat bunglow area is going to be demolished. The area is known as 'Saat Bangla' because of the bungalows built by seven wealthy families 124 years ago. Out of these Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) gave a seal, the demolition work of this bungalow has been started from Tuesday, according to the municipal officials of K West Division.

The civic body had issued a notice to the owner Brar family to vacate this 124-year-old bungalow which is in a dangerous condition. But this bungalow is owned by two brothers and one of their families was ready to demolish the bungalow quickly. But since Shalu Brar and his two sons have half ownership rights of this bungalow, they refused to leave the bungalow. Shalu Brar had expressed the suspicion that this was a plot to loot the place. He had approached the court against the municipality's notice.

Therefore, according to the rules, the municipality officials explained that the process of demolishing the bungalow has been started from Tuesday.
