Mumbai’s Dabbawalas have had a special bond with Britain's Royal Family. Over the last few months, there have been a lot of talks about the royal wedding of Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. As per the recent developments, our very own Dabbawalas are going to celebrate it their own way.

Almost 5000 Mumbai’s Dabbawalas work hard to deliver more than two lakh tiffins in the city. They have made special preparations for the wedding day, where the Dabbawalas plan to distribute sweets to the patients admitted in Tata Memorial Hospital, KEM Hospital, and Wadia Hospital on the occasion of the royal wedding. They will also provide food and sweets to those who have come from outside the city and state for the treatment of their family member.

Mumbai Dabbawala Association spokesman Subhash Talekar says that he has an emotional relationship with Prince Harry and his royal family. A few years ago, the Prince had invited us to come to his wedding.

The wedding will be on May 19 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor.
