Citizens have no respite whatsoever from the potholes across Mumbai. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has received 13,000 complaints so far, with the highest number of complaints coming from Bhandup

The civic body has resolved more than 12,000 of the complaints received. However, many roads in Mumbai are still plagued by potholes. Citizens find it difficult to commute in various areas like Ghatkopar, Andheri, Borivali, Kurla, Sion, Dharavi etc. due to potholes.

Since the onset of the monsoon season, Mumbai's roads have been covered in potholes. Despite various efforts by the BMC to fill the potholes, many roads are still riddled with potholes.

The BMC has launched the 'Pothole QuickFix' mobile app to quickly repair potholes on roads. Most complaints have been made through this app, and the municipality has also launched a complaint service through WhatsApp and Twitter.

The Municipal Corporation has received 13,348 complaints from citizens. Out of which 12,710 complaints have been resolved. In a month, 315 complaints of potholes have been filed with the Municipality.

The municipality has received the highest number of complaints from Bhandup, out of which 2051 complaints have been resolved by the municipality.

Citizens are expressing anger as potholes are still visible on many roads despite filling thousands of potholes. Even though the monsoon season is over, many roads have not been repaired yet. The Municipal Corporation had launched a special campaign to fill potholes on the roads before Ganeshotsav. However, it does not seem to have had any effect.
