According to a latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperatures are set to gradually rise in the coming as winter conditions are on their way out from most parts of Maharashtra.

However, it has come to light that Mumbai’s maximum temperatures are already on the rise coupled with high humidity levels owing to westerly winds which are bringing in moisture, stated IMD.

On Monday, February 21, the maximum temperature at the Colaba observatory was 30 degrees, while in Santacruz, the maximum temperature was 31.9 degrees. The maximum temperatures are 0.6 degrees above normal.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the minimum temperatures recorded by the IMD Colaba and Santacruz were 19 degrees and 17.1 degrees respectively.

On the other hand, the maximum temperature at the Colaba observatory was 20 degrees, which was almost normal. Whereas in Santacruz, the maximum temperature was 31.9 degrees, which was 0.6 degrees above normal.

The minimum temperatures recorded by the IMD Colaba and Santacruz were 19.2 degrees and 18 degrees respectively.

The city witnessed pleasant weather conditions so far since the beginning of the year. Mumbaikars have experienced that the mornings and nights are still pleasant, however, day temperature rises bringing heat and humidity.

Besides, on Monday, February 21, the minimum temperatures recorded over many places in Madhya Maharashtra are as follows: 

Satara - 14.7

Marathawada - 15.4

Jalgaon - 11.4

Nashik - 11.3

Nagpur - 12.4

Ahmednagar - 10.5

Pune - 11.6

Baramati - 12.9

Aurangabad - 15.5

Osmanabad - 17

Malegaon - 14

Though, as per IMD, on Sunday, February 20, the minimum temperatures recorded over many places in Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada remained 3 to 5 degrees above normal. Warm nights were recorded over Solapur (22 degrees), Parbhani (19.5 degrees), Nanded (19.4 degrees), Kolhapur (19.2 degrees) and Sangli (18.8 degrees).
