On Thursday, April 18, Mumbai Metro Line 3, also referred to as the Aqua Line, will have a temporary shift in operating hours. The final trial integration of the Aarey–BKC corridor is responsible for this modification. Instead of starting at 6:30 AM, as normal, metro services will commence at 8:30 AM on this day and run until 10:30 PM. In order to account for the updated timetable, travellers are advised to plan their trips according to the updated timetable.

The announcement was made via the official handle of Mumbai Metro Line 3 on X (formerly Twitter). In its post, they wrote, “As part of the final trial integration between the Aarey–BKC corridor and the new stretch up to Acharya Atre Chowk (six stations), Mumbai Metro Line 3 will operate with adjusted hours on 18th April from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM.”

The city's first entirely underground metro line, Mumbai Metro Line 3, runs over 33.5 kilometres from SEEPZ in the north to Colaba in South Mumbai. There are 27 stations total, with Churchgate, Dadar, and BKC serving as important stops. One of the busiest cities in the world will benefit from improved public transport and less traffic thanks to this queue.

On the new stretch of the Aqua line that runs up to Acharya Atre Chowk, a new station was opened on April 16.

The entire line connects numerous significant areas of the city and is constructed underground. People will be able to travel around Mumbai more quickly and with less traffic thanks to this new station.

One of Aqua Line 3's significant stations is the Siddhivinayak Metro Station. It will make it easier for a large number of devotees to get to the Siddhivinayak Temple, particularly during busy times or festivals. The initial appearance of the station was posted on X (previously Twitter) by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL). They explained in their post how the station was thoughtfully constructed in a packed and busy region.

The post read, “Here's an exclusive glimpse of #Siddhivinayak metro station built near one of #Mumbai's most revered temples, where devotion meets engineering. Navigating tight spaces and constant crowds, the station was constructed with extra care and coordination. Today, it brings thousands closer to blessings with ease, speed, and respect."

There will be two additional stages to the Mumbai Metro Line 3 project. The second phase will encompass stations like Dharavi and Siddhivinayak and connect BKC to Worli. The third phase would travel through areas like Churchgate and Mahalaxmi on its way from Worli to Cuffe Parade. For residents of Mumbai, these upcoming initiatives will further improve connectivity and ease of travel.

Mumbai has made significant progress towards more contemporary, clean, and efficient public transportation with the opening of the Siddhivinayak Metro Station. The Aqua Line 3 will simplify everyday life for many city dwellers by fusing devotion, clever design, and improved travel options.
