In the wake of heavy rains in Mumbai,Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inspected the elevation system and storage reservoir for drainage of water from Milan subway at Santacruz.


The Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction with the said measures along with which the traffic remained smooth in the Milan subway area. Also, the administration was directed to be vigilant in the actual area so that the people of Mumbai do not face any problems even during continuous heavy rains.

Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) P. Velrasu, Deputy Commissioner (Infrastructure) Ulhas Mahale, Chief Engineer Raju Jagirdar, Deputy Chief Engineer Vibhas Achrekar, concerned officials were present on the occasion.


He also visited and inspected the Mumbai coastal road project site at Worli and instructed the administration to ensure that rainwater does not accumulate in the said area. 


Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has released a monsoon update which states that the average rainfall in Mumbai Metropolitan yesterday (24.06.2023), from 8:00 am to today (25.06.203) 8:00 am is
Mumbai City- 104 mm, Eastern Suburbs- 123 mm and Western Suburbs- 139 mm.
