The sea will experience high tide for five consecutive days from June 24 to June 28. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has informed that during this year's monsoon season, there will be high tide 19 times in the four-month period from June to September.
Waves of more than four and a half meters high are expected to rise. Caution was urged as many places are likely to be flooded if heavy rain occurs during high tide.

The intensity of rain has increased in Mumbai for the past few days. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, and Satara Ghats.
The civic body appeals to citizens not to go near the beach. The administration has appealed to small boats not to go into the sea.
