The price of lemon has gone up due to a decrease in the arrival of lemon in APMC. Lemons which were available at INR 3 are now available at INR 5. As the price of lemon has doubled in the wholesale market, one lemon is being sold at INR 5 in the retail market. The rate is expected to increase further in the next period.


The atmosphere has been changing for the past few days. Meanwhile, change in weather is also causing the prices to rise. Many people are switching to lemonade due to humidity. However, the price of lemons have started to increase due to the less availability in the market.

In the wholesale vegetable market of the Mumbai Agricultural Produce Market Committee, lemons are currently being imported from the state, Junnar, Ahmednagar. On Tuesday, 10 cars of lemon entered the market and 170 quintals were received. 


Earlier, a bag of 800 lemons was selling at INR 500-600 in the wholesale market, but now the price has doubled and is selling atINR 1,200. Trader Kailas Tanjane has expressed the opinion that the rate is likely to increase further in the next period.
