Railway officials were concerned that an accident could occur at this location as the sharp bend near Mumbra railway station on the Central Railway was dangerous. Therefore, the Central Railway engineering department had implemented a new speed limit at the bend two days before the accident. However, it is being speculated that the Mumbra accident occurred due to a sequence of events that took a few seconds, such as air pressure, the speed of the local train, and the loss of balance of the passengers. The final report in this regard will be submitted within a week.

The Mumbra accident took place on the morning of June 9. In this incident, five passengers died after falling from a running local train.
