The water supply of Kalyan and Dombivli cities will be closed from 10 am to 6 pm on Tuesday, October 15 for maintenance and repair work by the water supply department of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), informed the executive engineer of the mechanical department of the water supply department.
Kalyan, Dombivli towns are supplied with water from the water treatment plant at Mohili, Netivali on the banks of Ulhas river. The maintenance and repair work of electrical and mechanical equipment in both these water purification centres will be done by the contractor under the control of the municipality on October 15.

During this repair period, along with Kalyan city, water supply will be shut off in Manda, Titwala, Wadvali, Ambivali, Shahad, Attali, Milind Nagar, Yogidham, Chikanghar, Birla College area, Murbad Road area of Kalyan West in Kalyan West. There will be no water supply to Dombivli east, west during this period.
Due to this repair work, water supply to Kalyan, Kalyan rural, Dombivli towns is likely to be reduced on the next day i.e. Wednesday. Therefore, the water supply department has appealed to the citizens to store enough water for one day.
